Stakeholder views of Autism services in Gateshead

Commissioners are developing the service provision of the Autism Hub in Gateshead, and want feedback on what is working well, and what needs to be improved, both within the Hub and in autism services in Gateshead in general.

Between October 2022 – December 2022 we spoke to a wide range of stakeholders to inform this development, using engagement approaches appropriate to the stakeholder group including one-to-one interviews, focus groups, and interactive feedback activities.

75 parents/carers of autistic children and young people, 10 autistic adults, 13 professionals working with autistic children and young people and 3 volunteers from the Autism Hub chose to share their experiences with us. Read what these stakeholders had to say here.

We also spoke to 81 autistic young people and young people with learning disabilities about their potential support needs after leaving school for good. Read what they told us here.
