Getting Help Service: Feedback to inform a new service specification for children and young people

Following engagement and feedback over a number of years around the whole mental health support offering and access to it, a commitment was made to a system redesign across Newcastle and Gateshead. The Getting Help service forms part of this system, delivering counselling interventions for children and young people upon referral and triage.

To inform a new service specification we were asked to gather feedback on the current Getting Help service and what a new service could look like.

We developed two surveys to gather baseline feedback with children and young people and parents/carers, consolidating our findings and exploring these in greater depth through focus groups and interviews. Read the report here.
