Involve North East has added to its skills base with the recruitment of two new members to the team.
Corinna Macfarlane has worked for over 15 years in health and social care. She is a qualified social worker with a background in both community and clinical settings and has worked collaboratively as part of multidisciplinary teams with police, the third sector and most recently housing.
She joins her new colleague, Rose Matthews, who brings expertise in research and development work, drawn from a 40-year career spanning social care, the NHS, criminal justice, and further and higher education.
Chief Executive Andrew White said,
‘This is an exciting time for Involve North East. Based on the success of our English for Health programme, we are further developing our healthcare and health literacy support. For example, one project on the drawing board is aimed at providing tailored help for neurodivergent individuals.
“Corinna and Rose complement and add to our collective expertise and creativity, which is great for us and for the future of the organisation.”
