Stronger Together: A New Chapter for Involve North East

Share on:

By Leah Lamb, Research and Communications Coordinator, Involve North East

Sometimes, charities reach a point where continuing to operate independently is no longer sustainable. Limited resources, increasing demand, and financial pressures can make it difficult to deliver the level of support that people deserve.

For Involve North East, joining Healthworks was the right decision to secure the future of our services. Of course, the operational benefits were clear to see, but much more important than that was the natural fit in terms of the aims and ethos of the two organisations. Both are committed to reducing health inequalities through promoting and improving health and giving people a voice in shaping services which impact their lives.

Alongside this shared purpose, our complementary research expertise, skill sets and areas of influence have created a strong partnership. By bringing together our strengths, we’re better placed to generate robust evidence, influence change and ultimately improve outcomes for the communities and organisations we serve.

And whilst it is still early days the benefits are clear to see. As part of a larger organisation, we have access to greater expertise, stronger infrastructure, and more resources to support our work.

But crucially, we’ve been able to focus more on delivering services rather than managing the day-to-day pressures that come with running a small charity.

This is an exciting time for us and I hope you’ll join us on the ride!
